Led by the Public Spaces Chair, the committee members will research landscaping, ecological, cultural, historical, art, and recreational resources and development, including, but not limited to parks and lots, boulevards, road-sides, sidewalks, and the river and lakefronts. The goal is neighborhood improvement and beautification to enhance the physical environment for Bay View residents to enjoy.
Public Spaces Committee responsibilities:
- Meet a minimum of bi-monthly to discuss current and future beautification projects
- Organize and participate in community-wide clean-ups
Current Chair: Stephanie Harling

MAY, 2007: HUMBOLDT PARK BANDSHELL PLANTING
Made possible with donations from Plantland on South Howell, and Home Depot.
A coordinated effort between the City of Milwaukee, the Bay View Garden and Yard Society, and the Bay View Neighborhood Association to remove the concrete triangle bordered by Howell Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, and Kinnickinnic Avenues (directly in front of Cafe LuLu), and replace it with perennial flowers and shrubs.
