Bay View Street SignHistory
The Bay View Neighborhood Association was created in 2004 by a group of residents impassioned about living in Bay View. Using a traditional grassroots approach, these residents sent a call out to all Bay Viewers to form a neighborhood association and give a voice to the residents of Bay View.
True to form, Bay View residents responded, formulated plans, and began the process of formalizing the Bay View Neighborhood Association. In 2005, the organization was granted 501(c)(3) charitable organization status by the I.R.S.

Leadership and Volunteerism:

Our all-volunteer, membership organization is run by a Board of Directors, which includes officers, committee chairpersons, committee members, district representatives, and at-large board members.

The Bay View Neighborhood Association funds a variety of initiatives with membership dues, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events. Our largest fundraiser, the Bay View Bash, is held in September of each year. We also seek out grant opportunities as they become available.

General membership meetings are held quarterly, with an annual meeting held in February of each year. Please see below for a list of the current Board of Directors. Information on the various committees can be found on their corresponding pages.
