Membership The Bay View Neighborhood Association is a membership-based organization. Your dues support our mission and enable us to continue our programs and special events that benefit the entire Bay View community and beyond. Our work would not be possible without the members who support our organization both financially and with their volunteer efforts.
Chill on the Hill The BVNA in conjunction with Milwaukee County Parks was proud to celebrate its sixth year of providing the Chill on the Hill concert series in Humboldt Park. The BVNA, in partnership with the Milwaukee County Parks, hosted various local bands and family-friendly events every Tuesday evening throughout the summer, from June 8th to August 31st.  It was another very successful and fun year!
Our History HISTORY - The Bay View Neighborhood Association was created in 2004 by a group of residents impassioned about living in Bay View. Using a traditional grassroots approach, these residents sent a call out to all Bay Viewers to form a neighborhood association and give a voice to the residents of Bay View.

State Senate Democratic Debate

The entire East Side of Milwaukee County is going to be called to action this Primary season as the battle for the Democratic spot on the November ticket heats up!

This is your opportunity to take action and ask the questions you want to know the answers to from your Candidates.  Join us TONIGHT, Thursday, September 2nd, at the Humboldt Park Pavilion at 7pm for a moderated Debate.  The Candidates want to tell you their stories, and we want to hear your questions!

Come and hear the ideas candidates Jeff Plale and Chris Larson have to lead the 7th State Senate District of Wisconsin - which includes Bay View, the Eastside, Downtown, St. Francis, Cudahy, South Milwaukee and Oak Creek.

Submit your questions for the candidates to BVNA President, Bob Schneider, who will be moderating the event.

BVNA President, Bob SchneiderPRESIDENT'S PAGE

a word from President,  Bob Schneider...

The Chill on the Hill season is upon us!  Thirteen weeks of Milwaukee's best neighborhood concert series comes and goes in a blink of an eye.  This year's lineup certainly promises to be the best ever.  Nearly every Tuesday night is booked with 2 or more fantastic musical acts.  The BVNA is able provide this FREE concert series to Bay View with your Membership dollars and our very generous sponsors.  When Patty is on the bandshell stage announcing these sponsors, please give a loud cheer and let them know they are appreciated.  If you can support them with your business, please make mention of their Chill sponsorship.  Thirteen weeks of great music does not happen without each and every one of them and your Membership support.

Summer in Bay View is as good as it gets in any neighborhood in Wisconsin.  In addition to the Chill on the Hill, we have the South Shore Farmers Market starting on Saturday, June 19th.  For those of you who have never been, come out for yet another warm, friendly experience that is uniquely Bay View.  South Shore Park is also the place you will find the Water Frolics festival in July.  Add to that all of the great church festivals, our cool bars and restaurants, our fabulous parks - there is hardly a reason to travel outside the 53207 on any Summer weekend.

Many other great things have been happening lately in Bay View.  BVNA Board Members, Teri Crane and Dale Nook have been hard at work on a number of projects positively impacting the community.  With the help of generous donations from the Home Depot Foundation, the Hide House Gardens are constructed and planted.   Humboldt Park now has many more park benches and a refurbished Pavilion with more improvements on their way.  The park benches and Pavilion projects were also made possible by skilled labor of Bay View High School students enrolled in the Building Architecture and Technology (BAT) program.   Thanks Teri, Dale, Home Depot and BVHS for all the good you bring to Bay View!

'See you on the Hill!

Bob Schneider

BVNA President
